Most forage and silage blades in the Indian market are made from 65Mn spring steel — adequate, but limited in hardenability through thicker sections. We manufacture in 28MnCrB5 chromium-boron steel, the same grade used for our tillage disc blades. The boron addition gives deep, consistent hardness through the full 3.5mm cross-section after press quenching — not just a hardened surface skin. The result is a blade that holds its edge longer in abrasive crop conditions and resists the impact loads of hitting stones or soil clods in the cutting chamber.
